Switch Willo Stables is a full service horse boarding stable in Austin easily accessible from anywhere in the metro and surrounding areas. Facilities include 50 stalls on 23 beautifully landscaped acres in the heart of Northwest Austin. With two lighted arenas, a large jumper ring, hunt course, wash racks, and individual tack lockers, Switch Willo Stables is the premiere equestrian facility in Austin. Care takers live on the property for 24 hour, 7 days a week supervision.

Included in the monthly board price of $595.00 are two weekly group riding lessons in hunter or jumper training, daily turn-out, automatic insect control spray system, daily stall cleaning, and twice daily feedings including coastal and alfalfa hay. Switch Willo has a very active pony program. Separate group riding lessons are given for ponies, teens and adults, divided by jumping height. Group riding lessons are available every day of the week except for Mondays, so they can accommodate any schedule! Two riding rings are well lit, and can be used in the evenings after dark.

Horses are given daily turnout in tree shaded paddocks. Turnout for horses is included in the regular boarding program. Each horse receives high quality feed and hay, as required for the specific horse’s needs, as well as clean water on a daily basis. A daily wormer integrated into the feed program is the preferred method of pest control. Most stalls are along an outside wall with a window that can be opened for fresh air during the warm-weather months. Tack rooms with secure lockers are provided for each boarder.

Switch Willo is a full-service show barn, and boarders are expected to attend horse shows. Many services are provided at multiple day shows for your comfort: tack rooms and tack stalls are set up for tacking horses and storing equipment. Grooms will tack, bathe, lunge horses and clean tack. Horses legs are wrapped before and after the show. Trainers will administer medicines and ride your horse if you desire. Switch Willo is also a place to make new friends! Social activities such as cookouts, Derby and Christmas parties, birthday celebrations and weekly post-riding dinner (adults) are part of the Switch Willo experience. Switch Willo has extra provisions for their active pony program, including a pony barn and a separate schooling session for ponies. Children form true bonds to their ponies and each other at Switch Willo!
